The fried chicken and fried fish here is amazing: no frills, nothing fancy or different. Its just amazing takeout fried food. That includes their french fries; those are pretty good too.
This place is open almost always and are a great value. It's consistent and reliable good takeout food.
My favorites are the fried chicken and fried fish sandwiches. -

I am in love with their chicken tender and waffles dish. I usually order it when I come here. The waffle is soft with a lightly crispy outside; their chicken tenders are flavorful and not dry. Along with the food, they give plenty of syrup and condiments to go with the order. For the freshness and quality of the food, the friendly service, and affordable prices, it's a great casual eatery in the H street area.
They also have a good cheeseburger from my son and husband's reviews, but I may have to try that next time. That is, if I can resist ordering my to-go meal here.
I see a lot of really bad old reviews, so I'm wondering if they hired different people or if management has changed since then. -

I live down the road from this place and frequently visit for breakfast. I can't speak for their dinner or lunch items but breakfast is great. I typically get the waffle platter or the chicken and waffle and every time I've gotten it my waffle is cooked to perfection. The chicken that comes with the chicken and waffle is delicious. It's my go to for quick breakfast and you get a lot of food for not a bunch of money

Whenever I'm here it's always at around 2 am and it's packed and for really good reasons, the line definitely moves though. the food is really good for a super cheap price, make sure you ask for mumbo sauce. The area is sketch.

Frankly, this was terrible. So bad we ended up throwing most of it away. We had the food delivered and it was missing items we had paid for. The chicken was tough and flavorless. The fries had potential if they weren't soggy. If you want decent fried chicken, don't waste your money here.
